Mondays Music Moves Me...July 2, 2012/Patriotic Songs

Spotlight Dancers

Welcome back to another Monday full of tune. Yes, that is right, it is Mondays Music Moves Me hosted by Xmas Dolly and the Music Train Conductors.
I want to thank Dolly and all of the regular conductors for allowing me this past month to be a Honorary Co-Conductor. I love music and that was so much fun!  I hope to get to do that again sometime.
Having said that, I want to introduce the new Honorary Co-Conductor, Larry from Cake Blast! Hop on board because it is going to be a fun ride!

Also, if you have been playing along, we are counting down to our 100th Anniversary. The 4M's has a giveaway don't forget to enter if you have been playing. This is fantastic! Click on this button to find out what that is all about.

So, this week is theme week and what better way to celebrate the 4th of July than with "Patriotic Songs"!  I have some good ones. Enjoy!

  1. OMG THE MUPPETS! You're too funny! All your choices give me goose bumps. Great job. Don't forget to enter our give-aways and have a happy & safe fourth.

    1. Oh I am entering. I think I have an injury now! lol

  2. Love John Mellencamp's song and you are right the Englishman's song is very touching! Oh, the Muppets too much fun!!
    Have a Happy Fourth :)

  3. Your second selection is really nice, indeed! It's totally new to me, too. Thanks for linking up with us again, Naila and mega thanks for co-hosting last month. Good luck to you in the giveaway! ^.^

  4. LOL @ the muppets

Good picks there, I do like John Mellencamp ;-)

    Have a great 4th July & week ;-)

  5. Great selections, especially the second piece. That says a lot, very much like my choice of the Hawaiian State anthem for my last selection.

What would the 4th be without the Muppets. Loved the cat in front pretending to be a duck. I think it was a duck.

We did it again, we both chose It's a grand old flag. Hmmm must mean something.

    Great post as always.

    1. It means we are connected as husband and wife. ;-)
      Love you.

    2. You of course saw the peng...right? lol

  6. Love love love the muppets!

  7. Love the Muppets! I choose the Mellencamp song too!

  8. The Muppets were great. I loved the Grand Ol' Flag, too!

    Enjoy your week!

  10. I love John Mellencamp's "Our Country" - not just the song, but the video is awesome... I'll be singing it in my head all day, which is just fine!

Also, any post that includes the Muppets is a perfect post to me - no matter WHAT your hubby says. TeeHee!

Thanks for all your hard work last month and good luck with the giveaways. Have a great holiday.

Hickies Shoe Lacing System #Review #LifeWithoutLaces @usfg

Have you ever had a problem keeping your shoe laces tied? I have this problem all of the time and it drives me nutty. I work on my feet all day and inevitably, my shoe laces come undone and I am tripping over them. Even double tying them does not help. Alas, I found the perfect solution in a little gem called Hickies! I know the name sounds funny but these little plastic "ties" pack a wallop.

All I had to do was take out my existing shoe laces and then replace each one with the plastic "tie" into each hole. It was seriously easy! The system allows the user to put the "laces" in different ways too. I used the regular fit but I could have chosen to use a looser or tighter fit.
Check out this video that shows how easy it really is. HICKIES LACING SYSTEM-REGULAR FIT

As you can see, my Hickies are red. I also received a gray pair but wanted to use the red. They actually come in all sorts of fun colors to fit the users style. Kids can use them in their shoes t…
